Lance Armstrong - the brand

What do Apple, Google, Starbucks, Target and Lance Armstrong have in common?  According to a study on Brandchannel.com http://www.brandchannel.com/start1.asp?fa_id=298, Armstrong is listed as the fifth most 'impactful' brand in the US behind those other notables - ahead of Sony, Ikea, BMW, Yahoo! - and don't forget Nike, Trek, Schering Plough, Giro, Oakley, Discovery and the rest of Lance's sponsors. While it may not be the most scientific of studies, it's still pretty phenomenal that for more than 1000 people in the US, Lance is considered a brand, and a top-five one at that...
